Allows for an increase in pipe size while maintaining a level plane or spin it 180 degrees and use the fall to speed the flow up. Allows the lateral movement of a line if the alignment is off a bit. It is wise to keep a couple of these on hand for challenging pipe fitting circumstances. They can be a real time-saver and are very wise to have on hand if you have new folks just starting out in the trade. If you’re a DIY’er, this will give you some wiggle room on you pipe fitting. It was a special order fitting made for a major U.S. HVAC manufacturer and it is surplus from that order. They are Schedule 80 rated, CPVC construction. CPVC is good for 200 degrees Fahrenheit and this fitting is approved for use with potable water. Each fitting is in perfect, new condition without wear of any kind.
